‘Disorder’ at the REP Performance and Discussion

An interesting set of events that many people should be interested in??

Please can you spread the word about this event to your members?  BOLDtext’s new plays, focusing on Mental Health, aim to shed light on these thorny issues and stimulate a debate: Whose responsibility is your Mental Health?  which will take place afterwards in The Door, led by Stephen Sanger of Birmingham MIND.

Writing about ‘issues’ is a tricky process, so please do come along and tell us what you think! Hope to see you there – 8pm The Door, Birmingham Rep, Mon 26 Sept.  Free booking details below.

…followed by a debate, Who’s responsibility is your Mental Health? with Stephen Sanger from Birmingham MIND.

What happens when things in your head aren’t what they’re supposed to be? Or what if they are and it’s everyone else who has the problem?

BOLDtext Playwrights Stephen Jackson, Vanessa Oakes, Julia Wright and Sayan Kent return to Open Door at The REP on 26th September and focus their dramatic microscope on mental health.

‘14 Across’ by Stephen Jackson
A hoarder’s house is stacked to the rafters – but what lies beneath it all?

‘Mademoiselle F’ by Vanessa Oakes

“sometimes to control my thoughts  i stand on one leg… i find holding onto a chair i can stand on one leg for hours… it is exhausting… “

‘Obligation’ by Julia Wright
Ellie reluctantly visits her dad in hospital. She’s not in a forgiving mood but decides to give it a go.

‘Reflection Perfection’ by Sayan Kent
So you fall in love, feels good. In the pool of love. Deeper and deeper until it drowns you.

About David Rollason

I am a writer, creative, inventive, observant, but the results are for you the reader to decide. There are things in my head constantly that I need to get out and into a readable form and this for now is my preferred medium. I am a simple being with complex workings. I am a complex being with simple logic. I am really just..... me.
