Members of Writers Without Borders are no strangers to new beginnings. Many of them have moved from somewhere else to be here. Originally formed as a group to give refugees a voice in a foreign land, the group has now grown into a truly international melting pot.
After ten years of meeting in the Shakespeare Room at the old Central Library they had a new beginning last year with the Hippodrome.
In this performance the group will share their experiences and adventures of moving from places, from relationships, and from mental states. Harvin Anderson’s exhibition Reporting Back at the Ikon Gallery with its theme of ‘evoking sensations of being caught between one place and another’ will be used as a backdrop to this performance. Writers Without Borders have cleverly woven some of these paintings into this performance.
Come and discover, or re-discover this lively, entertaining and thought provoking group.
