Meeting Report 14 October 2017

What a great meeting again, a rather different format but very interesting and educational, the perfect combination.

Instead of just sharing our  wonderful work and inviting comments afterwards, the group aimed for a more structured format for critiquing members writing.

1408aBreaking up into smaller groups, those with work to1408c share, read them to the more intimate group, more than once on most cases, and then followed a set of guidelines to help consider the many aspects of writing. This was to learn what to appreciate and how to make constructive criticism aimed to help the creative process in its many aspects.1408d

One the whole, the workshop was a great success and will be repeated at another meeting next year; practice makes perfect we hope.

The notes on Critiquing can be downloaded here if you would like to use them yourselves. Just click on the image to find them.

About David Rollason

I am a writer, creative, inventive, observant, but the results are for you the reader to decide. There are things in my head constantly that I need to get out and into a readable form and this for now is my preferred medium. I am a simple being with complex workings. I am a complex being with simple logic. I am really just..... me.
