April’s meeting

I had the pleasure of chairing the meeting today, part of a recent agreement of the core group members to rotate the chairing function.

I was extremely excited, having just secured a great discount on a pair of curtains in John Lewis, the store that very generously allows us to use their community room for our meetings. I was also excited to be seeing friends and fellow writers again to share our lives through our writing.

Shirley gave us feedback on the development of the recording project some of us are engaged in with Birmingham City University (watch this space for further news on that).

We also spent some time discussing the annual outing next month (6th May) to the Ikon Gallery. This will consist of an hour’s tour of the exhibition, followed by some time to reflect and write, if we feel moved to do so.

Any members wishing to join us should be there my 11.50 as the tour begins at 12.00 noon.

Then the really exciting bit of the meeting happened. The sharing of our work, which this month ranged from everyday observations to mystic musings. You can’t keep a good group down. Love this group!one love 009
