A big ‘shout out’ for all those that were at the meeting and shared more brilliant and insightful creative writing. We know we will never be disappointed but each time we put a small part of ourselves in the public eye, it seems to get better and better.
With Sue choosing a rather daunting work space for us, a narrow confined space that could have terrified the performers, it seemed to focus the presentations and make them one with their audience; it’s the ingenious nature of our leader and we thank her for that.
Most of the presentations this time were auto or semi-autobiographical which added to the intimacy of the space and we were all drawn into the feelings of the readers to be almost part of their stories; you couldn’t help but smile of be moved or even both in the space off the same work.
The meeting also covered the performance at St Paul’s in October which was generally accepted as a great collection of work in an interesting space and possibly somewhere to be used again.
The Anthology was also selling well with the first production order selling out completely but have no fear they will be available in a matter of days so no one will miss out.
Kind words and best wishes went to Elaine, aka Miss kitty a long serving member of WWB who has moved out of the area but, the idea of Skype video conferencing to include her in meetings would be investigated for the future; we have the technology so why not use it !
Future meetings and some changes to the regular pattern over the next few months will be notified in good time so please watch both this space and your emails.
Hi David! Good day to you. Would like to book a coach to attend December meeting. Please confirm our next meeting so I can book fare to Digbeth.
