Memory – A Performance

St. Paul’s Church, Hockley, Birmingham. 17th October 12015St Pauls Church, Birmingham

Saturday morning, the sun is shining on the grey cream stone of the monolithic building set in a leafy autumnal collar of trees only a short walk from the city centre.

In this rather unusual setting, we were collaborating with the
1240 Arts’ project to give a free public performance of our work around the theme ‘Memory‘.Memory04

Inside the performers collect themselves in the Memory01splendour of the magnificent interior and we turn to our ‘figurehead’ Sue Brown.

Sixteen WWB performers absorbed performance tips and advice to piece together a diverse and eclectic compilation of their work which was wMemory10Memory12armly received by the small but select audience.  Memory02 Memory09Memory08Memory07Laughs, musings and even the odd tear sprung from listeners and performers alike in this expressive, often very personal and moving presentation.Memory14   Memory06

Afterwards over complimentary Memory11coffee, biscuits and friendly exchanges, the new WWB anthology  ‘Moments in Time’  was shared and authors signed numerous copies of their contributions for WWB members, friends and followers.Memory05

Thank you to all who made this event possible and Antholoogy Covercheck out what else ‘1240 Arts’ are up to HERE and don’t forget to snap up your copy of the new anthology HERMemory15E.

About David Rollason

I am a writer, creative, inventive, observant, but the results are for you the reader to decide. There are things in my head constantly that I need to get out and into a readable form and this for now is my preferred medium. I am a simple being with complex workings. I am a complex being with simple logic. I am really just..... me.
