The event: An evening of poetry based on the fabulous ‘At Home with Vanley Burke’ exhibition with our own Sue Brown and Birmingham dub poet Moqapi Salassi.

The experience: Electric! From the rousing foot-stomping welcome of Sue to the stag2015-08-21 20.17.54e following a very witty introduction from MC James Pogson, to the high energy interactive rollercoaster ride with Moqapi.

There were actual gasps from the audience at the sheer brilliance of the two performers as they prodded Sue photoour consciences, our secrets, our souls with their words. Truths so delicately woven into honeyed voices still carried their sting.

About David Rollason

I am a writer, creative, inventive, observant, but the results are for you the reader to decide. There are things in my head constantly that I need to get out and into a readable form and this for now is my preferred medium. I am a simple being with complex workings. I am a complex being with simple logic. I am really just..... me.
