An all female poetry choir

Friday 14th August, 7:30pm – Thimblemill Library, Smethwick

(Part of Sandwell Arts Festival)

Tickets via 0121 429 2039 – ONLY £3

We invite you to experience this unique, powerful and transcendent performance that explores the ancient and modern voice of women through poetry and song.

Made using stories from local women, we explore the communal understanding of the female psyche: the traditions that have shaped us, the stories passed amongst us, and the philosophies that unite us.

Five women take to the stage, though they will not be confined there. Along their quest to translate the multitude of voices, they invite you into their pursuit of understanding the principles that shape women and how these are articulated or practiced.

Before transferring to the Birmingham REP theatre in 2016, we want to hear from YOU, the local community. We want to bring you into the creation process to find out what you like and what you think we could develop as the piece unfolds. There will be a Q&A session after the show and an opportunity for artists or writers to perform some of their own work post this discussion.

To reserve tickets please call the number at the top of this email, alternatively, reserve tickets through and pay on the door.

If you are interested in sharing some of your own work, writing or performance please contact by Monday 10th August, 5pm.

We look forward to see-ing you there and continuing the journey with you, our audience and trusted advisors…

Best wishes,
We Women Poetry Chorus

About David Rollason

I am a writer, creative, inventive, observant, but the results are for you the reader to decide. There are things in my head constantly that I need to get out and into a readable form and this for now is my preferred medium. I am a simple being with complex workings. I am a complex being with simple logic. I am really just..... me.
