There was excitement in the air as we gathered for another meeting of planning and sharing. Some members were still buzzing from their performances with the Birmingham Opera Company’s production of The Ice Break, others were happily anticipating theirs over the next few nights.

Later that week 7 of our members were also scheduled to take part in an evening of spoken word artists and musicians working together, a Celebrating Sanctuary event.

Our main issue for discussion was whether the group should have a Facebook page. This was agreed. You will be able to find us on Facebook soon. Writers Without Borders. You’ll also be able to see and hear more of us in video recordings on Facebook.

Then it was on to the usual excellent, surprising, moving pieces our members brought to share. For me – the best part. That and the chocolates Viv brought in to share with us for her birthday.

Happy to know that we are extending our horizons! Well done W.W.B.! The feeling of warmth grows at every meeting as we get over any inhibitions that might have marred our confidence as performers.

  2. predencia says:

    Wholeheartedly agree Elaine!
