We were 15 at the last meeting of 2014. Although we were sadly missing Sue to her duties at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Viv ably steered us through a fun packed meeting.
We began with half an hour writing about a visit to the Back to Back attraction in Birmingham made by some members. Those of us who didn’t attend wrote about Coming to Birmingham.
We followed with a look back at our year, at our individual and collective achievements and celebrated Patricia’s latest publication My Mother’s Dreams, her substantial autobiography.
Special thanks were expressed to Sue and Viv for their untiring efforts in helping to keep the group running smoothly, and also to the Stageside restaurant for their continued generosity in allowing us the space to meet.
Then it was time to tuck into food and drink, and to share our writing. A beautiful end to another year in the life of Writers Without Borders.
Looking forward to a fantastic 2015.
