Writers Without Borders joined a great line-up of performances at the MAC today at the Celebrating Sanctuary Festival, an annual event held as part of National Refugee Week.
The MAC pulsated with the sounds of Senegal’s Diabel Cissokho, Cameroon’s CASCA, Angola’s Afro Mio, as well as the drumming workshops facilitated by korea’s Mira Yugai and Mark Magoo.
There was art, crafts, books, children’s activities, food and lots of laughter and applause.
Unfortunately the cameras failed but there is one recording of Predencia’s performance of her poem ‘The Guide.’
