What a packed meeting – in terms of business that is, although we also had good attendance. We had three visitors, one of whom decided to join us as a member. Welcome James Goddard.

Performances – Our first performance will be on Valentines Day 14 February at The Coffee Lounge, Navigation St. (See News) We agreed two other preformances this year. One as part of Refugee Week and one as part of Birmingham Book Festival. Please start thinking of themes for our performances
Writing Group – We discussed the possibility of a subgroup that meets on the third Saturday of the month in order to write (as opposed to sharing what we’ve already written). We’re looking for a suitable venue.
Readers Group – The readers sub group continues meeting the third Sunday of the month at Jo’s house.
Membership – Membership fees are due now. Any current members whose subscription is not received by April will no longer receive text and email updates.
Core group – if anyone would like to become a member of the core group and help to plan events please let us know.
Story telling cafe – Tessa told us of a new story telling cafe starting this month at the Ikon Gallery in Oozles St. First meeting is Sunday 19 February at 4 p.m.
Hit the Ode – Sue told us of this Apple and Snakes event held monthly at The Victoria Pub, 48 John Bright St B1 1BN. Three featured poets plus open mic opportunities. Sue was one of January’s featured poets. Next events is February 23 and March 29.
